| Urban Design and Historic Preservation |
|
Urban design and historic preservation are areas of special interest. McElroy Associates co-authored a design plan for downtown Western Springs, Illinois and wrote a successful National Register of Historic Places nomination for Yorkville School in Yorkville, Illinois. We’ve also prepared neighborhood redevelopment guidelines for conservation district zoning, allowing communities to protect historic resources without resorting to full-scale landmark regulations. |
